Imagery from Detail Earth is hosted via soaratlas.com - Simply open the Aerial Tab from the left-hand menu. There, you can browse available coverage areas, explore free sample imagery, and subscribe to cities for updates. Creating an account is free and takes less than a minute. Sign up with your email and password, or use your existing Google or Facebook account. Once you're logged in, you're ready to start exploring.

Once your map is open, use the Search Bar (magnifying glass with the pin) on the right to find street addresses, landmarks, and other specific locations. Navigate the map by clicking and dragging with your left mouse button, zoom in and out using your scroll wheel or the Zoom Controls with + and −, or the Box Zoom tool to quickly focus on a specific area.

Use the Transparency Slider in the map description to compare your aerial imagery with the basemap beneath it. By default, basemap uses OpenStreetMap, which is ideal for navigation, but you can switch to other basemaps depending on your needs - including OpenElevation for highlighting terrain, Google Hybrid and Google Satellite for additional satellite context, as well as simple White and Black basemaps for a cleaner view. You can change your basemap at the bottom right anytime.

Click the three dots (...) in the top-left corner of the map description and select Pin to overlay it on top of other maps for added context and comparison. Once pinned, the map remains aligned with the basemap as you navigate. You can then explore other maps in the same area using the Discover or Maps tabs and use the transparency slider to compare them with your pinned overlay. You can also toggle the pinned map on or off at any time using the toolbar in the bottom-right corner.

Use the built-in Draw Tool to mark up your map with circles, rectangles, lines, freehand drawings, text, and even images. These tools are ideal for planning projects, highlighting points of interest, or analysing an area. You can also enable measurements on any shape to accurately calculate distances, areas, and dimensions, perfect for measuring features such as farmland, buildings, or solar panels. You can save your annotations and view them anytime via your profile.

There’s so much you can do with Detail Earth imagery and the powerful tools built into Soar Atlas. As new areas are captured, you'll be able to explore more imagery and subscribe to other cities across Australia and South-East Asia at incredible Ultra-HD 5cm resolution.
